“Learn More” isn’t a call to action — it’s a call to do nothing in particular.

Same goes for:

• “Get Started”
• “Discover More”
• “See How It Works”

If you want your CTA to work, it should:

  1. actually reflect your brand and product journey
  2. sound like you and your brand,
  3. and most importantly, guide users toward a meaningful next step

Here are some examples of great Calls To Action (and none of them are “Click Here”

Instead of generic, go specific

→ “Secure My Site Now” for a security service

→ “Book My Appointment” for a clinic

→ “Rub My Crystal Ball” for a fortune teller

or my favourite:

→ “Talk Dirty To Me” for a cleaning service

And here’s a Top Tip – make sure your CTA looks like you too – not just “blue because blue converts.”

Your CTA is part of your story.

Make it count.
